What WikiSprint collects

WikiSprint has no accounts and asks for no personal information. Your chosen player name and a randomly generated guest identity are stored only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. Game data (room codes, player names, race times, click counts, and the article paths players travel) is stored on our servers so multiplayer rooms can sync in real time, and is visible to everyone in the same room.

If you join the WikiSprint+ waitlist, we store the email address you submit, used only to contact you about WikiSprint+.

Advertising and cookies

WikiSprint may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. This may include personalized advertising where permitted.

You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also visit aboutads.info/choices to opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized ads.

Where required (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), WikiSprint asks for your consent before advertising cookies are used.

Third-party content

Race pages display live content from Wikipedia. Wikipedia is operated by the Wikimedia Foundation and has its own privacy policy. WikiSprint is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation.

Your choices

You can clear your player name and guest identity at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. You can decline the cookie consent banner to use WikiSprint without advertising cookies.
